Steel Erectors / Welders needed

Our client is looking for an experienced steel erector or a good welder. At the very least you should have a few years of experience or a trade school certificate in welding. This is a full time long term position.
Job Type: Direct Hire.
Position Description: Installing and fixing together the steel girders, pipework and beams that make up the framework of buildings and structures. You might work on projects of all sizes, including office developments, factory units, housing, sports stadiums and bridges. Your duties would include working out how to fit the steelwork together following engineers' instructionslifting and guiding components into position with tower craneslining up and levelling steelwork before bolting or welding it in placeworking from mobile elevated work platforms to gain safe access to sections off the groundworking on the structure itself. Laying down metal decking, and fixing safety netting and edge rails as you build up the structure.
You will normally work in a small team. Health and safety is very important and you would be expected to follow safe working practices at all times.Your work would also involve dismantling steel on demolition jobs. With training, you might also carry out steel fabrication and fixing work on site
Requirements: Ability to regularly lift 32-50 pounds
Comfort with heights
Work experience in this field or educational equivalent
Ability to pass a background screen and a drug screen
